EVALUATION - QUESTION 4

My audience for my media product would mostly be females as I feel they are more sensitive than men so they will make more of a connection with the piece. In particular probably black females, as in the media black people are sometimes portrayed as inferior or troubled so they will understand why most of the cast are from a particular ethnicity. During the screening, females engaged with the thriller opening more and I got more detailed responses because they had a better understanding and they enjoyed it the most as they 'like the black edit of it.'

Audience Feedback

\

In our feedback we had mixed reviews, some people liked it and not so much. Girls preferred the piece more than boys did so they could relate more but overall, most people said we need to work on the sound as it was very unstable and overwhelming at some points. We also had too many unnecessary clips of us walking so it was seen as 'boring' at some points.

Screening

Today I screened my thriller piece to various people, I got feedback on what went well and also constructive criticism. As it is only the first draft I will take into account what they have said and try and improve the thriller.

Editing - Day 3

This is the last day of editing and now we are just running through the piece and touching up any few little imperfections we can. We have finally got out piece to just under 2 minutes, now we have applied a black and white filter it is ready to publish onto YouTube!

Editing - Day 2

Now we have made our title sequence on the end, we have our near finished version of our opening and we have also found our non - diegetic music and have put it throughout the piece so it's ongoing. We have also managed to cut our opening to 3 minutes which is also too long, we had extra time in our piece because our point of view shots were too long, we learnt that once the audience have established what we're trying to show (that I'm following someone) then that shot doesn't need to go on for any longer. We have also put the credits on the beginning of our opening and chose the font/size by using PicMonkey

Designing/ Making: Title Sequence

This is our title sequence for our thriller, the eye represents the eye the stalker (me) uses to stalk her victim (Tayo). The red colour represents the danger present in our piece and the font we used through PicMonkey looks as if blood has been used to draw the name so I am very happy with it and it foreshadows a lot that happens in the thriller opening.

Editing - Day 1

Today we have put all our clips onto Adobe Premiere Pro, we have all our clips put into chronological order. Next time, we have to create a title sequence for our thriller opening. Right now our piece is actually 5 minutes long and that is double the restricted time but in our next editing day we can cut all the unnecessary clips we included.

1st Day of Filming (evening)

After a long day of filming, I am finally home and now reviewing our clips. I have noticed in one of our shots we have broke the 180 degree shot but we are going to fix that error when we start editing. Filming takes a lot of hard work and as you can see I am very tired from it all! But we are more than half way through and I am finally happy we are getting there

1st Day of Filming (morning)

Tayo and I have our tripod and our camera because today we will be filming the first half of our thriller opening. We are just about to go meet Demi, Ade and Ralia to start shooting.
